Spring!

Speaking of spring, H&M's new "Garden Collection" looks fabulous. And it's all under $60!!

I'm loving everything, especially this floral pinafore dress

the strapless orange (or is it red? Hard to tell in pictures..) dress

& the floral skirt
And most of the dresses! They all seem so versatile, depending on your choice of accessories and makeup.

I'm a bit obsessed with this white dress. It's so fierce. Definitely wearable on a lovely spring, wandering the city in a pair of turquoise (trend alert!) flats and soft, wavy Serena Van der Woodsen hair. Or you can dress it up with some huge chandelier earrings, an updo & a soft smoky eye. And clearly some fabulous, sky-high heels.

Beauty: Spring 2010

I'm feeling some of the big beauty trends for the spring but not sure if I'm going to be rocking all of these looks.

- Beige nails
Yay or nay? I find it a bit too reminiscent of the late 1990's. Wasn't a fan of it then but from what I've seen the shades are better. More on the rosy beige tones versus the brown beige of the 90's. Some of the Spring colors have a bit of shimmer in them too, which will help your nails stand out from your skin.

- Bright lips (yay from me!)

Magenta, plums, pinks. It's a candy lip color free-for-all!

One of my favorite colors is 'Schiap' from Nars. It's a hot pink that you can apply lightly or more layers to build the color up to your desired level of intensity.

Another great color is 'Resist' from Sephora's newest makeup line, Illamasqua. (The whole line is filled with super saturated, intense colors that work fantastically for Spring 2010.)

- 80's Revival (another yay from me!)

I have a feeling the 80's trends, including the over the top makeup (especially eyes) is here to stay. (Least for a few more seasons.) Bright eyeshadows, lipstick/glosses, and cheeks. Feel free to go over the top with your makeup - but you're not on the runway so try to stick to one feature to emphasize.

- Porcelain Doll (I'm already rocking this look!)

It's really flattering and fits right in with our other Spring 2010 trends. Works best with at least some sort of base covering the face (tinted moisturizer, sheer to medium coverage foundation, etc). Don't forget to put some foundation or concealer on your lids, a few coats of black mascara, lots of pink blush and a soft pink lip (think about 2 shades darker than your natural lip color). VoilĂ ! You're magically transformed into a perfect doll-like lady, ready for spring weather! I'll try to post of a pic of the look soon.

There's no rules for your makeup so have fun! Be bold, loud and bright. Who doesn't want a little attention?

Class Act

The classiest classic pieces I'll always covet:

Chanel 2.55 bag.
Love it in every color, but I'm really feeling the silvery-blue color. It's classic and modern at the same time and so versatile!

Christian Louboutin heels.
The man is a shoe god. As much as I love Sex & the City, their love of Manolos was never my true shoe love. I'm so happy about all the Loubs in the upcoming SATC 2. Walking down the streets of New York City and especially since I work on 5th Ave, I'm constantly seeing that infamous red sole. I love watching women walk in Louboutins because they have so much more attitude and every woman, in a pair of those red soled Loubs, starts to strut.

Classic peep-toe pumps, pumps with jewels, ankle booties that make me fall even more in love with 1920's-1940's fashion. I really think I could wear those booties with practically everything in my current wardrobe.
